Sam Worthington likes to do “absolutely nothing” when he has time off.
Sam Worthington reveal that he makes a point of keeping his schedule free when he is not making movies.
“Well, I do get criticized for working too much. But I’ve got mates that are dentists and bricklayers and doctors who work 12 months of the year, so why shouldn’t I?” he said.
“You do get to the point where you burn yourself out and then you’ve got to take a year off again. That’s when I just don’t do anything. Your whole life is planned in this industry so when you get time off, you do absolutely nothing.”

Sam Worthington : “I’d never thought about acting”
Popular actor Sam Worthington said acting happened to him accidentally as he always dreamt of becoming sportsman.
“I’d just screwed someone’s dream; it wasn’t going to last. I was 19, had travelled all around Australia and was ready to be locked in that place for three years. “I’d never thought about acting and, in hindsight, that fearlessness was what the school enjoyed”

Sam Worthington’s Surprise Visits
Sam Worthington made a habit of turning up at his friends houses just as they were serving dinner when he was homeless.
The ‘Avatar’ star had some tough times in his earlier career and even found himself living in his car at one point, but he always had a way of getting by one way or another and making sure he got fed.
He said: “I would just bum off my mates. I’m not an idiot – I wasn’t scraping baked beans out of a can and crying over an open flame. I’d just turn up at mate’s houses and ask them, ‘what are you cooking?’ Or I’d suggest they got a pizza.”
The Australian star also had to work some pretty hard jobs to make ends meet, but isn’t ever afraid to do a little manual labour.
He added to Shortlist magazine: “When I was 17, I went to the other end of Australia and just worked my way back home. The worst one? Digging sewer trenches is pretty tough. Putting anti rust paint on top of a building in the middle of Cairns was bad.
“But guys do that stuff every day. I’m not going to beat myself up about it. It’s what you do to get you to the next spot or pay your phone bill, and guys do that all the time.”

Sam Worthington mistaken for Zach Galifianakis
Sam Worthington says he is often mistaken for actor Zach Galifianakis ever since he has grown a beard.

I had a big career in Australia but I could still go out to the local bar,” Worthington added. The actor, who parted ways with girlfriend Natalie Marks recently, also said he would never use his fame to chat up with women, although his friends do, reports contactmusic.com. “My mates exploit (my fame) all they can. They always exploit it.”
